Here is a short list of some of my favorite finds at garage, estate and thrift store sales. I used an old seat cushion I had and wrapped it with brand new material from another garage sale to pretty it up and make it softer, then stacked new throw pillows I found at yet another sale for $.50 Do You Save Wrapping?

Today it is much less expensive to buy your clothes, even if you buy brand new and certainly if you shop some of the chic re-sale shops or even the thrift stores. I bought out a lady at a garage sale long ago, made several dresses, shirts, shorts and cover ups out of some of the material and still have a gob left over.

Plus, the styles that fit are usually made by the high end manufacturers and carried in exclusive (expensive) clothing stores. There is a lovely thrift store not far from my neighborhood that receives donations from the folks in the local golfing gated community. Cheap or frugal? I wash and reuse freezer bags.

While I love thrift stores, I can be easily swayed to run into Target, TJ Maxx, and/or Kohl’s when I feel like I need something.
