My plan got a little messed up when I got to the store yesterday and there were not any Perfect Portions. I didn’t even see a place on the shelf where they should have been! So I got two more Campbell’s soup but had to use another $.50/2 coupon which didn’t double, instead of two $.50 coupons which would have been $1.50 off. Plus, that was 4 soups and I didn’t get a catalina of any amount so I’m thinking it’s over.

So very grateful to see the gas deals last week and this week! Fingers crossed for next week!

I purchased 7 of the Campbells soups and got back a $2 catalina

Here’s an idea for how to use up all those Quaker Medleys…. I made oatmeal cookies… recipe said 1 1/2 cups oatmeal. I figured 1/2 cup per Medley, so I used 3 containers. I increased the flour by 1/4 cup (don’t know if this was necessary – recipe was for 3/4 cup) and added chocolate chips. These were the Cherry Pishachio type. The cookies turned out delicious – children and hubby (and myself-shhhhh!) have been munching away!!
For the Mommas says
oh Sharon, I love this idea! Would you be wiling to direct me to the entire recipe, I would love to post!

Sure! Here it is:
Oatmeal Cookies
Beat together til creamy:
1/2 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Now beat in:
3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups regular oatmeal
Drop from teaspoon unto parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes or til done of your likeness. Makes around 3 dozen.
To use the Quaker Medley Oatmeal, I simply used 3 containers in place of the 1 1/2 cups regular oatmeal. I increased the flour by 1/4 cup. Next time I’ll try the 3/4 cup flour, per recipe, and bake just one cookie to see if dough is stiff enough before baking all of it. I also added chocolate chips – the amount is however much makes you smile and have a terrific day!! Have fun experimenting with all the Medley flavors…adding chopped nuts…I think nutmeg would be good added to the Apple Medley… the sky is the limit! Hey maybe I should send this idea to Quaker… perhaps they’ll give me one year worth free gas!! (I think I’ve eaten too many Medley cookies….)

Thank you for this. I just got 62 of the medleys and this will be a great way to use part of them.

62??? sounds like a shelf clearer
Maria says
Dear Anonymous,
I didn’t clear the shelves, there was plenty left when I went early Sunday morning. I was planning on getting the Perfect portions but my store doesn’t sell them. By the way I used my FREE GAS today
Sharon says
Sorry, but I don’t see anything wrong with buying 62. Maria is taking advantage of a “money maker” oportunity to add extra cash to her family’s budget. The way I see it, if the shelf is empty of an item you really want, then by all means talk to Customer Service and have them special order in for you the number you want. I’ve done these several times without any problems. I agree that shelf clearing of items that we can’t use up – like 20 tubes deodorant – is obnoxious. But oatmeal? It’s healthy and can be used in so many ways in baked goods! ….Just my opinion!
Ashley says
I agree with Sharon. I dont see anything wrong with buying 62 of them. If they are available in that amount, by all means, go for it. Its a moneymaker deal, and it did not really affect any of us that she got 62. I only got 14, but I am getting more tomorrow!!
And i am def going to try this recipe
Liesa says
Looking forward to trying this recipe. Thanks for sharing!!

and you will have to register your email address. Quaker will send you three codes to enter for the game and you will be able to print a $1/2 any quaker items coupon.
Also…got my perfect portions today and there weren’t many left–I don’t think stores stock these in great number. So get out early!
There were LOTS of progresso starters!
