In Huffington Post article Boomers Give New Meaning To Spoiling The Grandkids author Linda Stern reported: “Roughly 36 percent of the grandparents surveyed by AARP said “spoiling (grand)children by buying them too much” was a part of a grandparent’s financial role.”. It’s my grandkid!”.

My grandkids were 6 and 3 and they really got into this! Buying gasoline. Talk about various car expenses, besides gasoline, like oil, windshield washer fluid, mechanics, tuneups, tires, car payment interest and etc. Talk about where the gasoline comes from and the various jobs related to producing it.

That way, I can hit a lot of sales in just a few hours instead of spending time and gasoline driving around town. Although I saved a few of my own children’s toys over the years, when the grandkids came along, I wanted to renew my toy stock so they would have things to play with when they come.
