On a side note, last week I got to work next to Erin Chase. Did I say work? I should say my attempt at baking. I am NOT a baker. I can cook, but bake, I cannot.
Um, the girl can make a mean pie crust. As you can see , I had total pie crust envy. Wonder why she is smiling ear to ear and I am grimacing? My pie was pathetic at best and hers was, well perfect.

=) Just did some of my own crusts last week for pumpkin pie and it was fun. If it tastes good….as little touching and kneeding as possible I’m told….who cares if our pie crusts look a lil rustic. Shabby Chic is in!!! =)

Cheryl, you are sweet .. thanks for the support !

Shannon, I’ve seen some of the dishes that have come out of your kitchen and you have nothing to grimace about! You are an amazing cook!!!

That look is absolutely hilarious! When I attempted homemade pie crusts years ago, the first couple came out splendid, then for some reason, the magic wore off and they got worse and worse. Like Carolyn, I then opted for the frozen. So, kudos to you for trying! ;)

I’ve found that pie crust is easier if you add a bit more ice water to the recipe than it suggests. Just rolls much easier.

I think I learned what my problem is – the flour!
Carolyn says
Looks good to me, I head straight for the frozen pie shells or Pilsbury. I have never even attempted pie crust, for some reason it intimidates me and I’ve been told I can bake. ;)
The look on your face is “priceless”, love it! LOL

He he, funny picture. I took would be grimacing if I had to hold up a hand-made pie crust. I gave up on them years ago! I did re-attempt pumpkin roll this week and found success. Pie crusts might be next.
