Even though it was listed as an example on this same page, I have to say that I love the photo booth tip – and not just for birthday parties – I’m envisioning it at one of my playgroups. We have a bunch of kiddos (about 10) that come and the way this diy photo booth is described, I realize how easy it will be to set it up and then moms can just take pics with their phones. Since I have 2 kids, I have loads of dress-up stuff, hats, team helmets, etc.

I like the idea of letting the kids get spirited with sidewalk chalk. My daughter loves to draw, and I hate that today’s children are too hypnotized by electronics. I think it would be great to dig out the chalk and teach them hopscotch, four square, and all the other games we loved when we were younger. If more adults did this, maybe there wouldn’t be such a childhood obesity epidemic in this country.
