Gold's Gym offering free workouts on Black Friday

Instead of shopping on Black Friday you might want to hit the gym. At least that's what Gold's Gym wants you to do. Gold’s Gym is turning Black Friday into Trim the Fat Friday – opening up their gyms FREE to the public, and inviting the public to come in and work off their Thanksgiving meal.

Some of her workout tips/advice include:

· Potato Sack Front Pull: Before you mashed up those buttery, fluffy potatoes, use them to burn a few calories! Stand up straight holding the bag in both hands, feet wide, toes pointed out diagonally. Raise the weighted bag, leading with your elbows, until the bag reaches your chest. You’ll feel this in your shoulders and biceps.

· Canned Cranberry Sauce Shoulder Squeezer. Grab the canned cranberry sauce and come to all fours, knees under your hips, wrists under your shoulders, abs in tight. Holding the can in one hand, raise your arm out straight to one side and slowly bring it back in. Repeat 10 to 20 times, then raise the same arm straight out in front. Repeat 10 to 15 times and switch arms.

· Place Card Lunges: Work those legs and glutes by doing lunges around the dinner tables as you place name cards as each seat.

· Cook The Calories Away:

If you’ve ever pulled off cooking a Thanksgiving dinner yourself, then you already know it’s a workout. How much of a workout? More than you might think! If you make the whole dinner yourself (that’s everything from turkey to gravy, sides and dessert, with about 4½ hours in the kitchen chopping, stuffing and rubbing), you’ll burn about 700 calories!
