I’d say the theme of these books is something like…women breaking free from oppressive, fundamentalist religious sects, where they could not be properly educated or have freedom and agency. In families with just a few cousins/grandchildren, I can see it working out, but not with 17 cousins/grandchildren.

And I now have 2 wonderful grandchildren to love as well. First and foremost, I went back to school at a women’s college, a great one actually, whereas before I had been attending a coed university. Why a women’s school? Going to a women’s college gave me those opportunities and more.

Being older and being around little kids (my grandchildren), my risk is higher, but I wish everyone would get a vaccination. Certain people are at greater risk for complications with the flu, including seniors, young children, pregnant women and those with certain health conditions like asthma or diabetes. How serious is it?
