What I Spent So I went to pull together my grocery spending for the week and I realized that it’s all quick trips to Safeway. Sunday Leftover sandwiches; they’re great reheated in the toaster oven on the air-fryer setting. Wednesday Leftover chicken quesadillas. We had some raw veggies and fruit on the side.

Designate one night a week as “raid the fridge’ night to get rid of leftovers. Everyone’s plate might look different, but you’ll at least use up the leftovers and reduce the waste. If you don’t think the food in the fridge will be eaten before it goes bad, place leftovers in a freezer container, label, and store in the freezer.
