Here is a quick look at the deals in the CVS Black Friday Ad for 2011. The number of freebies is just astounding! I am sure some coupons will pop up over the next few weeks as well. Are you looking forward to CVS Black Friday?

Also- if your a member of the diabetic care program, they recently mailed a bunch of coupons- there is a $6 off $30 or more health care purchase, and a $1 off colgate total (which can be used with a manufacturer coupon). There are atleast $30 worth of ‘heath care’ items on this list so im going to use that too!

Oh my god! there is sooo many good things! I have coupons for so many items, I should probably get $40 in overage. Not all the items are a limit of 1. There is the Bayer advanced 20ct for $.99 and it doesn’t appear to have a limit- I have tons of $2 and $1 off Bayer Q’s and the q’s don’t have a product count minimum on them. A few weeks ago, my grocery store had q’s on the shelf for buy 3 mountain dew, get one free- I grabbed a few and with the Pepsi deal at cvs this week, it will be like paying for 1 and getting 3 free! I have CVS breathe right and colgate q’s and plan to stack them with the manufacturer ones. Also- there was a $3 off theraflu product wyb 2 not that long ago (no size restriction)- there are two theraflu products that are free after the ECBs so that $3 overage alone.

I have it mapped out for 3 transactions. Hopefully there is no one there and I can do one after another…if not I am bringing my mother in law and she can do transaction 2 and I will get back in line for #3!

As there seem to be at least 20 free items, it seems to me that following appoach would minimize the OOP:
Trip 1 – Purchse around 5 items maximizing the purchases that have coupons for overages.
Trip 2-4 – Select a small number of items that can be paid with the EB from the previous purchase.
Does anyone see a problem with this approach? The only down side I can see is waiting online to pay multiple times.
Shannon says
Yep I agree with this approach for sure!

Just a heads up that CVS has requested all ads be taken down. I’m not sure if they are requesting or intructing so you may want to look into that! Thanks for typing out the good ones for us!
Shannon says
Tiffany, I am not hosting this ad, so there is nothing for me to take down :) I just linked to another site.

There are more coupons for these items also…there is a $3/2 Theraflu out there and a CVS coupon to be used in addition to the MFC for the Breathe Right strips. There was also a printable $1/1 NYC making the gift set of NYC nail polish free. This is going to be fun! :) AND 2 more weeks of inserts – wonder if we will get more :)

Are these only a limit of 1 ?
Mindy says
Most of them are usually limit 1 during the black Friday sale
Mel says
CVS was a blast last year. We had a great time! Scored some great freebies. I don’t do any other black Friday deals so popping into CVS was all the rush I needed.
guest says
Seems like alot of planning. I don’t want to leave with a hundred extra bucks and a lot oop but I would hate to do 10 transactions.
Mindy says
I’m planning ahead. Each week, right now, in the sales flyer there are select items that if you purchase $30 worth, you can earn a $10 gift card (there are about 7 or 8 to choose from). I’ve been selecting CVS and American Express, that way I can use them for my Black Friday shopping and minimizing my OOP. Then when I go into the store during Thanksgiving weekend, I will pay for all the items that will earn ECB and use those for my 2nd transaction of non ECB items.

I went to both CVS and Rite Aid last Thanksgiving. There were hardly any shoppers at my stores and I got all the freebies I was hoping for. Loved it! I also love that the sales are ON Thanksgiving, leaving black Friday open for Target, etc. Thanks for the heads up. Can’t wait!!!
Catherine says
I had the same experience as Emily. I shopped at CVS on Thanksgiving morning on my way to my parents’ house. It was a quick in-and-out trip for me. There was only one other person in the store and they were filling a prescription.
Rachael Marie says
Awesome !! I’m really looking forward to some of those deals ! Thank you for the heads up. =)
Kimberly Attridge says
No, not looking forward – I am not an aggressive shopper! Besides my sister will be here on Fri. :)
Anne says
do you know if they allow rainchecks on black friday sales? i was never good about getting them before, but have better trained myself in the last few months – it has reduced my blood pressure immensely ;)
Bonnie in PA says
They issued rainchecks last year on the Black Friday ad(I got one last year for the universal remote that was free after ECBs). The only thing they don’t issue rainchecks for is seasonal stuff.
Tiff says
Aww crap this starts on Thanksgiving? My store will be cleared out by Black Friday.
Kristie says
Any idea what time the sale will start on Black Friday? Sounds like I’ll want to be one of the first ones at the store.
Shannon says
Kristie, its the 24, 25 and 26th
Danniell says
are these all a limit of 1?
