I lost a job, lost health insurance, lost a house, lost what I thought was my identity and had to start from scratch. It’s been rough and at times pretty humiliating and always depressing. But when I hear others talk down about people on food stamps or health care aid or other such programs, now I speak up.

Although friends tried to help by offering part time employment, she was unable to keep a paying job. Her health care is via the Veteran’s Administration as she has no health insurance. She began to accumulate clutter. She gave large gifts to close friends.

He actually gets about 2/3 of his parting salary in pension form, even when providing me with a survivor benefit. Health insurance is a bit more pricy than when employed, but less than a lot of other people pay. If I die first, he can rescind the survivor benefit to increase his monthly pension amount.

Besides, if times get hard and you do need to work 2-3 part-time jobs , you can pull that off much easier when you don’t have to figure out babysitting and day care fees. Do I Have Health Care Insurance? . However, when a child is in the picture, you’ve got to have steady income.
