Two Birmingham radio stations playing Christmas music now through Dec. 25

Got a hankering for some holiday tunes? You're in luck.  Magic 96.5 and Easy 97.3 are now playing Christmas music through Dec. 25.  The tunes have been playing all day, every day, this week on both stations.

This is the first time in a long time Birmingham-area residents were given a choice.  Magic 96.5 has long been the only channel playing Christmas tunes, non-stop.

Listeners expressed their opinions of the temporary format changes via Facebook:

Post by Magic 96.5.
Post by Easy 97.3.

Magic 96.5 changed their tagline to 'Birmingham's Original Christmas Music Station.' Easy 97.3 started playing holiday-fare the same day as Magic 96.5.

Birmingham residents and visitors could benefit from the holiday tune competition switching back and forth during commercials.
