I think I have become pretty darn good at it, and I will even haggle successfully at big chain stores like Macy’s, Home Depot, and Best Buy. This works really well in clothing stores, as well as home improvement warehouses like The Home Depot and Lowe’s. Assume It’s Negotiable.

Thrift stores are also a great place to shop. Buy a big roll of brown paper at Lowes or Home Depot and use it to wrap gifts. They kind of look like the ones for sale at Curious Country Creations. Plan ahead and hit garage sales, but especially estate sales. You can get 144 feet of 2+ feet wide paper for around $11.
