Here are the best deals of the day, January 8th and few random thoughts ….
The great Johnson & Johnson Coupons are back again! There are so many deals to score with these coupons – make sure you print them while they are available. I scored a great deal at Rite Aid – totally free – check my deal out here.
Who doesn’t like free? Add free to Starbucks and I am there. Check out this free Starbucks sampling day. Total side note, I bought the Espresso Roast when it was Buy One, Get One free last week. Umm hello Espresso Roast, where have you been all my life? Best coffee ever!
Check out the newest free Kindle Books – remember, the prices change fast – so grab them now. Oh, I learned that if you are a PA resident and have the blue access sticker, you can sign up for the Free Library of Philadelphia, which lends Kindles books – thanks to Jen for letting me know. I am afraid I won’t accomplish anything, I might be holed up in my room reading. Oh- like mother, like son. Evan in his fort (aka my couch pillows) reading Lemonade Crimes on the Kindle.
Cheap Bandaids – for you Carolyn! (Carolyn’s kiddos raided her band aid stock!)
If you need cereal, don’t miss out on the Giant/Martin’s Cereal Deal this week.
I believe in Crystal Light, cause I believe in me! Wow, can you believe that was in 1982 that ad came out. I’m old, but you can still request a free sample of Crystal Light, even if you don’t remember those ads.
If you are going to Target, you can find Smart Ones for $.79.
Clean teeth are a great thing – get more free floss. Speaking of clean teeth – check out the Rembrandt scenario here.
So that’s about it! I am going to watch the new show The Firm. I am a big Grisham fan (well old school Grisham, although I am totally loving the Litigators right now – I am about 1/4 in to the book)
Have a great night and thanks for reading my ramblings… run on sentences and all.

woo hoo shannon!!! i just downloaded an iris johanson book to my kindle for pc app from the library!!! i was just talking to my husband last night about whether we should get a kindle or fire. now i really want one! i always borrow books instead of buying, but now i wont even have to go to the library. i download most of the free books you point out to us, but i just don’t enjoy reading at the computer. i have a nice little stack of FREE books that would keep me busy for over a year if i bought a kindle.

Very nice! I have to admit I do not love the fire, its backlit and hurts my eyes. The old Kindle for my old eyes is much gentler! Reader at the computer is really hard on the eyes too.

how do you know if you have the “blue access sticker” (like where do you get it or is it on a library card of what?) and how do you access that library? Our public library doesn’t have much of a kindle selection.
I got a kindle for Christmas so now my daughter takes my phone and reads kindle books on there. I downloaded a few for her from Amazon and she loves it. I’m going to have to get her a kindle eventually, maybe her birthday. She’ll be like Evan then!
Shannon says
its on your library card (literally a blue sticker).
If you dont have one and are in PA, just check with your library – they are free.
Carol says
cool thanks! I’ll check that out. we live in a small town so I never even use my card at the library so I never look at it. They just know me there so I don’t need it.

woop~woop! got me some more cheap band-aids up in da house! & a new hiding spot too! :) HAHA
I think it’s AWESOME Evan is such an avid reader. Go Evan!
I’m a big Grisham fan also, I set the pvr for The Firm. Can’t wait to watch it.
Thanks Shannon you ROCK!! Have a great day.

The picture of your son reminds me of my son, but instead of a Kindle, it’s the DS. He has read things on my Nook before…I need to download some more things he would like. Anytime it’s electronic, the kids like it so much more!
Also, in reference to the old ads, I always sing the old Tootsie Roll song, “Whatever it is I think I see, becomes a Tootsie Roll to me.” One day, my son told me I should write commercials and get rich since I was good at making up songs for them. And then I showed him the original ad on You Tube.
Shannon says
lol @ writing commercials :)
Yes Evan reads alot , but even more with the Kindle. Now that the library has free lending for the kindle, he has been reading non stop. I really cannot complain!

Totally random, but on Family Guy tonight (which my husband was watching and I always try hard not to listen to b/c I really don’t like it), there was a reference to Crystal Light that used that line! I didn’t get it until I read your post. Strange to see/hear them within 1/2 hour of each other!
Shannon says
ok that is totally random! Weird!
