If you want to stock up on Nature Valley Granola bars, here is a sweet deal that reader Lauren P. put together:
Buy (12) Boxes of Nature Valley Granola Bars $30.00 (buy 2 of the Sweet and Salty)
use (2) $.50/1 Nature Valley Sweet and Salty Printables
use (5) $1.00/2 in 9/11 GM or 10/2 GM
Get $10.00 off instantly
Pay $13.50
Get $3.00 OYNO Catalina from Nature Valley
$.88 per box after coupons & Catalina
** There has been some debate on whether instant savings are before or after coupons. It is $30 before coupons – regardless of what your cashier tells you. They just are not aware of how it works. Reader Lauren just went and did this deal. When the cashier pushes subtotal, the instant savings automatically comes off – even before you coupons are scanned.
Don’t miss out on the Campbell’s deal at Giant!

I just got back from giant, and I’m in love. I got $109 worth of stuff, paid 44, and 600 gas points. I’m totally doing it again with the frozen veggies later in the week, I just wanted to leave a nice selection for everyone else.

Thank you for the tips!!
Crazy question… do the catalina offers still print out at the SELF checkout?
Shannon says
Yes Mandy they do!
Emily says
did this twice today in 2 separate transactions. both at self checkout. first one went through great (except the $3 cat didnt print, despite buying 6 boxes of regular nature valley granola bars). the second trans didnt deduct the $10 and i had to get some assistance. despite no catalina printing (and i checked, it wasnt out of paper), still a great deal!

The last time I tried to do an instant savings deal (on Kraft — was it just last week? or maybe the week before?), the cashier typed my coupons in as she rang up my items, so my total didn’t hit the $25 mark and I had to buy more to get the savings. She showed me the ad and I told her I thought it was “after discount” from the sale price, not the coupons. She told me they recently changed their policy. I told her I had just done the deal. This week, I’m doing self check-out so that doesn’t happen. Grr…
Ruth says
You got a cashier that has a chip on her shoulder and doesn’t and possibly doesn’t think couponing is fair to the rest of the consumers. Most cashiers would never type in the coupons as she rang the items, that is just too much work. I would have stopped her at the first one, take my order and go to the self checkout or return when her shift ended. Never be afraid to void an order even if there is a line behind you. The goal is to save money and get the best deals possible.

The fiber 1 bars are included in the spend $30, save $10 instantly deal. So are the nature valley granola thins.
Lydia says
If I’m not mistaken the Fiber One bars are included as well. If you don’t have enough Nature Valley coupons there are also Fiber One coupons in the 9/11 GM inserts.

Love giant today! $105 worth of stuff for $38 plus $4 worth of cats

Does anyone know what the requirements are to get the Nature Valley Catalina for $3 off OYNO? Thank you!
Lauren says
The catalina says between 10/3 and 10/30 buy nature valley granola bars (6 ct or higher) or Granola nut clusters ( excludes granola thins)…. Buy 3 and get $1; Buy 4 and get $2; But 5 or more and get $3 on your next shopping order. All items must be purchased in one shopping order, limited to product in stock.
Suz says
Thank you very much for the reply Lauren!

I did a combination of a lot of the items on the list (to maximize double coupons). I calculated so without coupons the total would be 30.60 and the 10.00 came off automatically for me this morning without any problems.
J says
Yes, it does “work” on the total before coupons….when it works. If it doesn’t come off automatically and you have to go to the customer service desk, they may enforce the after-coupon criteria, fyi.

wow, it’s a big week at Giant!
