Join the U.S. Space & Rocket Center for a family-friendly BBQ picnic dinner as we honor the men and women behind America’s past, present and future in space exploration. This year’s Space Exploration Celebration features guest speaker Dr. Dale Thomas, Associate Director, Technical, NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. The Space Exploration Celebration is a reunion for those who worked in the U.S. space program and for citizens who support space exploration. The celebration is an informal event that draws up to 800 guests and has a loyal following among NASA employees and those who support space exploration. Guests range in age from students to Apollo veterans who are now in their 80s and 90s.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a buffet barbecue dinner and the program begins at 7 p.m. in the Saturn V Hall. Ticket holders may enter the museum as early as 2 p.m. on Thursday.
