There was another offer on the house, but the offer was contingent on the sale of their home, so despite our offer being lower, ours was accepted. It became apparent that there are some unique challenges of being a young landlord. We got an amazing deal on it, because of our willingness and ability to take possession right away.

Since water and snow falls from the sky for free, my landlord made it so that after it lands on the roof it then runs down some pipes into the ground, providing more than enough to water the trees and plants without using any municipal water.
