When you can reuse or re-purpose an item, you are not only saving it from the landfills, but you are also saving the expense and energy which would have been expended when you recycle. Maintain your refrigerator, by cleaning out weekly the night before you take your trash and recycling to the curb. Wipe down the inside of your refrigerator and freezer. Discard outdated food.
