Veterans Day 2014: Birmingham, Montgomery & Mobile zoos offering military admission discounts

Zoos in Alabama are offering special admission rates for military families to mark Veterans Day.

BIRMINGHAM:

The Birmingham Zoo is offering free admission for all active and retired military personnel and their dependents for Veterans Day. The offer is valid Nov. 10 through Nov. 11.

Valid proof of service is required. Carousel, feedings and slides are all additional costs.

MONTGOMERY:

Veterans' Day Week, Nov 9-15 Join the Montgomery Zoo and Mann Wildlife Learning Museum in thanking the proud men and women of the armed forces. During Veterans' Day Week, all veterans, retired and active duty military personnel and their dependents receive a 50% DISCOUNT on regular admission to the Montgomery Zoo and/or Mann Wildlife Learning Museum. Participants must provide a valid picture military identification to receive discount.
