Music Minute: Dallas Remington - Gone with the Wind

Singer/songwriter and recording artist Dallas Remington announced her new single, “Gone With The Wind,” is available. December 10th, 2021 Dallas Remington’s hometown was devastated by a record breaking tornado. Dallas & her co-writers wanted to write a song as a tribute to her home. While writing “Gone With the Wind” the trio of writers used stories from Dallas’s friends and family to paint the picture of what it’s like to experience and live through such tragedy. The song was co-written by Remington, Travis Smith and Cyndi Torres. Especially poignant, the ballad was inspired by the catastrophic impact of a real-life natural disaster. Download and stream “Gone With The Wind” on all music platforms at gonewiththewind_dr.

“Last December I had taken some time off to be with my family in Kentucky,” explained Dallas Remington. “Late in the afternoon on December 10th, my mom and I said goodbye to everyone and headed back to Nashville for the night. A few hours later, I started receiving calls and the news that my hometown had been hit by a record-breaking tornado. The devastation was unlike anything our area had ever experienced. The buildings may be gone, but the spirit of our town lives on and the lives lost will never be forgotten. Mayfield - more than a memory.”
