Don’t Recycle, Reuse

If you want to get fancy, draw, paint or sew buttons on it for eyes. The leaders had us use vinegar and water along with newspaper to clean, dry and polish the windows. You all know you can make puppets for kids from an old sock. Just slip it over your hand and use your thumb and fingers to make a mouth. Clothes pins. Popsicle sticks.

How To Re-use Common Items

Old paper from things such as newspapers, magazines, discards from the printer and etc are used at our house to start fires, make notes and for grocery lists. Once we used old magazines for a craft project in Camp Fire Girls to make a ‘sit upon’ (cover the magazine with something water repellent and sew the sides together).
