A Lego bookshelf for Zoe

A nice thing about using the same paint over and over is that this shelf is exactly the same shade of white as Zoe’s bed, which I painted several years ago when I took apart Sonia and Zoe’s bunkbeds. Because it was toooo cold to paint outside (paint prefers more temperate temperatures. ? )

Anyway, after priming the nightstand, I applied the pink paint which, yes, looks very white. When I paint furniture in a light color, I often have to use caulk to fill in some gaps; the light color makes them rather unsightly. it will not look right unless it’s been painted over because the sheen is different.

Want to save money? Let go of the need for matching

One last non-matching example: when I get a sock that sprouts a hole, I generally set the good sock aside and just use it with another sock of the same cut. If you DO want random things to match, paint them! But since it’s all painted with the same two paint colors, it kinda looks like it goes together.
