Parenting: The best $2.49 you'll spend if your kid collects LEGOs

You're sipping coffee browsing Facebook or maybe you're trying to cook dinner. Maybe you're asleep on the couch or watching a movie.  You're cleaning the windows or trying to wash a load of laundry.

Where are your kids? If they are as obsessed with LEGOS as passionately as my kids are then they are probably lost in their own little creative world, building and creating.  That's until they can't separate a set of bricks.

Then they need you.  Why?  Because you can do great and mighty tasks like splitting atoms, I mean, LEGOS with your bare fingers or fingernails to be more exact.

If you're new to LEGO collecting you may not have heard about this little lifesaver called the LEGO Brick Separator.  It's $2.49 online and in the store.  I picked one up recently for my kids at the LEGO store at the Galleria and it truly has changed our lives.  Okay, I might be exaggerating, but man my fingernails are thanking me for making that purchase.

Did you know some people use their teeth to separate LEGO bricks?  Yikes.

Anyway we keep the one I purchased in a central location and the kids get it when they need it. It's been a week and no 'can you help me' requests.  They can separate on their own.  Life changing I tell you!
