I've been to a number of 3D movies recently and collected a quite a few pairs of these glasses.
There are recycle bins at the end of the movie to drop off the glasses.
However my kids like to keep them.
So what do you do with them?
Here are some uses I have found for them:
1. Dress up -- I've popped the lens out and let the kids pretend they are professors or scientists.
2. Keep a couple in the car as back up sunglasses -- they do not affect your regular vision.
3. Wipe them off and send them to school for treasure box toys.
4. Save them for trips to other 3D attractions so you don't have to use glasses that have been worn by thousands of other people.
5. Use it for crafting -- picture frames etc.

So I explained my prospective a little better in this response:
Birmingham Bargain Mom Very true Melissa -- I should have included that I just use them in the car -- not outside on a sunny day. It provides enough of a tint to keep my kids from screaming the sun is in their eyes. That's only if they've left their Spider Man, Toy Story & Tinker Bell sunglasses at home, instead of in the car. I"ll add your tip to the post. Thanks -- C
