Here's a description:

This event brings the magic of the holidays to homeless

families by offering parents the opportunity to “shop” for free gifts for their

children, while children create festive holiday crafts for their family members.

The children eat and have their picture made with Santa.

The YWCA is currently accepting donations for Santa’s Workshop.

All items must be new and unwrapped. Wish list items include art supplies, baby items, infant toys, backpacks, purses, batteries, fast food gift certificates, portable electronics, coats, scarves, gloves, sports equipment, jewelry, hair accessories, toys, board games, playing cards, puzzles, socks and shoes.

9 AM - 11:30 AM

Santa’s Workshop is held each year at the YWCA to help families living in area homeless shelters and transitional housing programs to have a happy holiday season. Children have an opportunity to make gifts that they can give to moms, teachers, friends and others in their life circle and can even have their picture taken with Santa.

Moms are able to “shop” (everything is free) for gifts to give their children.
