In Canada, the average for the entire, complete system is between $24,464 and $31,544 for a 2000 square foot house. While this may seem like a big initial investment, the cost is easily paid back by the 70% energy bill savings. They degrade over time and they don’t save you that much money. What’s not to like?

Our emergency fund has saved us countless times and it will save us once again with the truck. And while I don’t like parting with our money, I am grateful that this repair won’t send us into financial distress. Personally, I think a starter fund should be $2000-$3000. Dinner time is stressful.
