That weekend, my newly graduated nurse daughter-in-law informed me that we probably could have gotten cheaper and faster care at an urgent care center. Although they began to appear in the US in the 1970s (according to Wikipedia anyway), I didn’t start hearing about them until around 2006.

We purchased a vacation condo in a local resort area in 2006 (yep, right before the crash). My daughter-in-law went with me (my first grandson in tow) to look over various properties and we found one we both preferred. My sister-in-law and her husband had one that they used and rented out and indicated that it was doing well.

In 2006, our oldest daughter was 1. I can’t find a single picture of our youngest daughter’s first Christmas. So we’ll skip on to 2009 when our second daughter was 1 1/2 and our oldest was 4. We waited 5 years for this little bundle and it was a wonderful Christmas. One of my most favorite years EVER.
