When they got married, they bought a duplex so that the rent money from the tenant in the upstairs apartment would pay the mortgage. In 2007, when the kids were 8 and 13, we recreated that trip – with a travel trailer and bunks instead of a miniscule tent. I track expenses, monitor our budget and handle all of our investments.
