We bought a lakefront condo 10 years ago near lakes and an area known for entertainment venues, for what I thought at the time were great reasons. We paid around $200,000 in 2007 for the property with an extra amount for furnishings and a slip in a yet-to-be-built boat dock. Our accountant charges a lot to do our taxes.
