We have lived through some challenging months as small business owners, but 2007 was a very tough year for us. By the end of 2007, our business picked up again–thankfully–but not before we practically wiped out our savings with only $2000 left to spare, not enough to get us through one more month. As self-employed owners of a small business, we have lived through some challenging months, but the year 2007 was especially tough for us. Every month, our income must cover our business and household expenses, but many months in 2007, our income barely covered our business expenses, leaving nothing left for our household.

We paid around $200,000 in 2007 for the property with an extra amount for furnishings and a slip in a yet-to-be-built boat dock. If we hadn’t sold stocks and mutual funds to come up with the money to close the sale (cash on the table), we wouldn’t have generated a huge capital gain in 2007.

A site, Elegant Woman , has some pretty specific instructions on what you need to do! That Nielson study done in 2007 found: “that the older the respondent, the less interested they were in spending on products and treatments to enhance their appearance, or delay the ageing process.”. How much is too much? This pressure still exists.
