It seemed reasonable to devote a greater portion to real estate, in order to further diversify our portfolio. We planned our purchase in the heady days just prior to the recession of 2008/2009. Gather the family. Our family has gathered multiple times across the years to enjoy the condo and the area.

To learn to live within your means is one of our primary family money values. Although we think of the Great Recession starting in early 2009, it wasn’t until 2013 that the 5 year CD interest rate fell below 1% – and has stayed there ever since according to Bank Rates interest survey data.
