We individual investors have all become market skittish since the recent huge recession and economic downturn. I retired in 2010 (yeah!). Unfortunately, to move them, I had to cash some the investments out in the 401K, leaving me with quite a few funds to get back into the market. annually — and that’s quite ordinary.”.

I have been since April 7, 2010. Then the Great Recession hit so I postponed for a few years. In 2010, my company was just preparing to do their first round of recession related layoffs. However, I haven’t learned this lesson too well, as I still have the second plan, which is a 401K. I’m retired!
