Before kids, I spent my free-time volunteering at a stray rescue shelter for dogs. I started reading The Frugal Girl back in 2010 when Kristen’s kids were still itty bitty. Besides dealing with my sudden unemployment when my oldest child was a toddler, I was hoping to figure out a way to extend my time at home with him.
