We individual investors have all become market skittish since the recent huge recession and economic downturn.

So after I stopped working in March, I gained over 20lbs! So many places in my community have been hit hard with the recession and depend mainly on volunteers to stay open. A year ago when I had a part-time night job I ran around all day taking care of kids, my home, and work. Now my kids are both in school, and I don't work.

This, apparently, is due to the fact that individuals won't be paying into Social Security in 2011 (which, honestly, seems rather inadvisable given the sorry state of our Social Security system, but I'm not making the decisions in D.C., One of the more interesting topics in the U.S. before my spendthrift side can get its grubby paws on it.
