I’ve been reading The Frugal Girl since retiring in 2015 and look forward to the blog every week. After retiring early in 2015, we intensified our savings efforts even more because we retired before the eligibility age for Social Security. The goal is to have a zero balance on our mortgage by January 2030.

My grandchildren’s other set of grandparents are just one example. Eventually they did a short sale to get out from under the mortgage, moved to the mid-West to take advantage of nearness of family and lower living costs and she took jobs as waitresses. The pleasure of accomplishment you get in setting and meeting a goal.
