I have used the extra money to pay off debt, fund family trips, or build up our Christmas savings. Through May of 2021, I have found over $6800 for the year! My total found money in May: $321.81. Ok, so May wasn’t my greatest month for finding extra money. My beautiful petunias in 2020.

I have used the extra money to pay off debt, fund family trips, or build up our Christmas savings. In January 2020, we booked round-trip flights to Paris for the four of us. This trip was a reward for our years of paying off six figures of debt , and we were going to pack a lot into our week.

During our debt payoff mode, we camped and went on beach trips with extended family, but never left the country…honestly, we never left the east coast. In January of 2020, we made summer plans (and bought airline tickets) to go see friends who moved to Europe. Paying off debt is not fun. Prioritize.
