On average a typical family will spend about $50 a month to go out to a concert, the movies, an amusement park and etc. By not doing this, we cut expenses by $600 a year for 40 years for a total of $24,000. Doing your own lawn care not only helps you cut costs, but also gets you out in the sunshine and gives you exercise.
