When they got married, they bought a duplex so that the rent money from the tenant in the upstairs apartment would pay the mortgage. I can’t even imagine how many repair bills from plumbers, electricians, appliance techs, and auto mechanics he has saved us over the years. I’ll bet the dollar amount would be staggering.
