Fed’s Preferred Inflation Measure Slows in November

The personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index dropped 0.1% in its first decline since April 2020. The labor market is still relatively strong and consumers are optimistic about their finances on a strong stock market and lower gas prices. The index was up 2.6% in the prior month.
