Instead of using aluminum foil or plastic wrap to cover casseroles and leftovers, store the food in re-usable containers. I re-use pasta sauce jars for my homemade chicken stock , or my Roasted Roma Tomato Sauce , or my homemade sugar-free applesauce and store them in my freezer. I have 4 different sizes.

1) Leftover cookies make excellent pie crusts for cream pies. When you have a few cookies leftover, put them in a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Replace the graham crackers with cookies in homemade piecrust recipes. Use the cubes for homemade stuffing or croutons and the ground pieces for meatloaf and meatballs.
