On with the August meeting. How did I do in August? Our monthly goal for Christmas savings is $100. At the beginning of August, I was $100 short from June when we used some of our Christmas savings for gifts that were needed that month. To achieve this, I attempted a pantry challenge in August.

And back-to-school sales start creeping up this month (in Georgia, for some reason, some school start back on August 1st! — yes some counties in Georgia are backwards, I, as well wish they started end of August or start of September.). August is back to school sales (and for Georgia, school starts, as early as August 1st!!!)

I manage the finances for our business and our family and by August 2013, I felt the weight of the situation. We must start saving for retirement again , we need to start college saving accounts, and it would be nice to take the kids to Disney while they’re still princess fans.
