Do you have old calendars with beautiful pictures? Shop garage sales and thrift stores and estate sales. Christmas decorations, wrap, bows and ribbon all are continuous offerings at pretty much every garage sale, thrift store or estate sale I’ve ever shopped. If you have old maps you no longer need, use them.

We do put up decorations (ones I buy at garage sales or thrift stores and reuse each year). Search the attic, the backs of the closets, the garage and see what inspiration presents. They both spent some time scooping out the insides and cutting off the tops but the end product was beautiful. Tip # 4 on decorations.

You can pick up beautiful decorations, wreaths, linens, trees and more at these sales. Thrift stores are also a great place to shop. In my growing up family, we didn’t get that many presents on Christmas day. They kind of look like the ones for sale at Curious Country Creations. Save On Gifts And Wrapping.

Take the time to learn any requisite skills, either by reading, learning online or perhaps attending some of the home improvement big box store presentations and skill shops. I found wood frames for my national park posters and a wildlife themed shower curtain at the local thrift stores. Trade services.

It’s not hard for me (anymore) to avoid expensive stores or fast fashion sites such as Shein and Temu, and instead shop at thrift stores or use my local BuyNothing group. I grew up during the height of beauty culture on Youtube, and during my teens I was definitely influenced into buying makeup I did not need.

Plus, I am presenting at two conferences this month so I have to get ready for those. Being Frugal tells us how we can rock the thrift stores.
