I knew she had a few dollars from her recent 2 lost teeth and a visit from her grandfather. When we got home, my daughter went to get her wallet. She counted out 5 $1 dollar bills and was ecstatic when she realized she had a dollar left. This was literally the first conversation we have had about money. 5 yo : "OK!"
