I ordered a previous edition of my Nursing Fundamentals book We were required to purchase the digital version, since it come with online assignments that are mandatory. So, I hopped onto eBay and bought a hard copy previous edition of the book for $15.71. Hopefully the new one I ordered will serve me well for a while.

The amount of reading that’s assigned to us is wild (this particular week, it was 22 chapters), so I listen to the book’s computer voice read the chapters, at 2x speed, whenever I am walking, driving, cleaning, doing laundry, cooking, and so on. You know that Calvin and Hobbes book titled, “The Days are Just Packed”?

I load my books into the Vital Source Bookshelf app on my phone and I listen through that app. Do your textbooks automatically come with an audio version, or do you use something to convert them? that my trip wasn’t too close to the start of the semester I wasn’t even thinking too hard about this when I booked the trip, but I am super glad I gave myself a week of cushion. I was so, so, so happy that I did not get stuck in Chicago. This way, my delayed return home did not cause a problem with the start of school.

Reading her book was SO helpful to me; it was so relatable, I burst into tears multiple times while reading it. In the end, she decided to just send it, trusting that the telling of her story was enough, and that her words would go where they were supposed to, landing with the people that were meant to hear them.

In my area, the amount of free beautiful parks, nature centers, museums, national monuments, free concerts, kid programs at the library, things to rent at the library (books, ebooks, Kanopy, tools, toys, board games) is so wonderful! My region is notoriously expensive, but there are a lot of free things to do. They were a great price!
