He will give her toys to play with and share his snacks with her and generally be so sweet to her it makes my heart all squishy. That’s when I know that, in the long run, my grandson is going to really love his baby sister. This sibling rivalry will pass and they will become fast friends, just as I did with my little brother.

I come from a family of three children, though one of my brothers died as an infant and the other died in his twenties. years old before his first sister was born, so we did have a (brief) taste of raising an only child. From a financial perspective, only having one child makes sense. Meanwhile, I am mom to three kids.
