We have some hefty financial goals this year and this is just one more way for me to squeeze more from our budget. At the beginning of the month, we were in the market for a bedroom dresser because my youngest daughter’s dresser fell apart over the holidays. Surprisingly I was able to walk out with nothing for myself.

In 2014, the Grocery Budget Challenge encouraged us to keep our grocery spending in line and to be creative with our meal planning so that we do not over-spend. Our youngest daughter’s dresser practically disintegrated into pieces over the holiday break. In 2015, the monthly challenge will be Choose Thrift First.
