Many years ago, I got a little wooden chest from freecycle. Sonia texted me a few weeks back to see if she could have the chest to store some blankets and stuffed animals. The freecycle chest is pretty small. As you can see, Sonia has a lot of blankets/stuffed animals to store. ? Long live the minivan!

There was very little I had to buy for my child after these showers. In our consumer driven society where we have everything for children from designer clothing stores to classes to iPads, how does someone go so counter society and not spend anything on her children save childcare and medical expenses? It turns out, quite easily.

Many stores are perfectly willing to let you bring in your own reusable grocery bags. If you aren’t sure about buying reusable bags , at the very least, you can save the bags from your last shopping trip and bring them in. These make great shopping bags, and you won’t have to buy new bags. Plant a Garden.

Pressure canners are a bit more expensive to buy and complicated to use. You might even luck out and find one listed on Freecycle or in your local paper’s classified ad section. You may have noticed that no where in this list did I mention buying used canning lids. That is because you should never reuse canning lids.
