The local Salvation Army was looking for sponsors for their annual Adopt-a-Family Christmas program. The sponsor then delivers the gifts and food by mid-December to the family's home. That Christmas back in 2005, my husband and I were overwhelmed with gratitude for this beautiful baby girl that we waited 5 years for.

My husband got laid off in December. I got lots of new dresses for Christmas, and I would just really like a job, so I have somewhere to wear them. And OH how I’ve missed getting dressed. It’s been a rough time for me. As you know, I got laid off in November. It was, it IS rough. Since we don’t work, we stay home. So I don’t.
