I made one trip to my favorite thrift store during their dollar days sale. For one-time special occasions, ask friends if you can borrow instead of buying new.

Between coupons, sales, and clearance, there’s no reason to pay full retail. If the stigma of thrifting gets to you, remember, it’s not “used”, it’s “vintage”. Blacks and beiges are always good colors to keep on hand; you can layer and accessorize to add pop and style for various occasions. Don’t Pay Retail.
