My own sister-in-law paid for travel to Hawaii by charging her son’s college tuition (this option, by the way, is no longer available with her card company). I undersand the incentive, but don’t think it is worthwhile for us. Sure, I have heard the stories. I just won’t waste the time it takes to manage the rewards.

Only one child’s college tuition to pay. Only one child to take on vacation and buy an airplane ticket for. Overall, our financial lifestyle did not change dramatically when we grew from a family with no children to a family with one child. From a financial perspective, only having one child makes sense. You get the idea.
