For instance, in college, I was invited to a formal dance occasion. I believe that your opportunity cost would be too great as well. Today it is much less expensive to buy your clothes, even if you buy brand new and certainly if you shop some of the chic re-sale shops or even the thrift stores. Sewing takes time.

We leave the nest – move out of Mom and Dad’s well stocked home. Some get stuff from stores, the less financially favored head for thrift stores, garage sales, Mom’s house or the trash pickup routes. We rent a shelter (usually), and it is bare! You donate to suitable charities.

When my daddy passed last January, I inherited all the heavy farm labor responsibilities- I never knew I could have impressive muscles😊 It feels like I’ve been going to a homesteading college this year, it’s a love/hate relationship.
